Fountain Inn To Hold Its First Civics Academy

The City of Fountain Inn will be holding its first ever Civics Academy for residents.
The Fountain Inn Civics Academy (FICA) is a Free 6-week course that provides residents of Fountain inn with inside knowledge of the day-to-day work of city staff to make our city the #BestInnSC. Participants will receive presentations and insight from key City Personnel, go on on-site field trips to City Facilities, and may be referred to openings on boards and commissions. The course will run from October 4th – November 15th and be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The course is free to all residents and community leaders are encouraged to sign up.
The Fountain Inn Civics Academy is meant to bridge the gap between residents and their local government. The class is aimed at Community Leaders, Religious Leaders, HOA (homeowners associations) and Neighborhood Association Leadership in the City of Fountain Inn to better inform their communities. This is the first time that the City of Fountain Inn will be holding a Civics Academy, and it is the intent to continue this public service annually.
