Four members join Clemson University Real Estate Foundation Board

CLEMSON, SC – September 19, 2008 – Four men will join the Clemson University Real Estate Foundation board of directors.The board elected Frank A. McLeod III of Columbia to a four-year term. He joins elected Henry F. Mabry Jr. of Columbia, Gosnold “Goz” Segars of Hartsville and Robert M. Mundy Jr. of Columbia.

The Clemson University Foundation also appointed three members to the Real Estate Foundation board. These members will serve a one-year term: Roy Abercrombie of Greenville, George E. Biediger of Greenville and Neil C. Robinson of Charleston. Abercrombie will serve as chairman of the board and Segars vice chairman.

“We are pleased to welcome this new group of directors to the Real Estate Foundation board,” said Harrison F. Trammell, Real Estate Foundation president and chief executive officer. “We are excited about the individual skills and passion for Clemson that they have to offer, along with their fresh ideas and new perspectives.”

The Clemson University Real Estate Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entity organized solely to advance Clemson University and the Clemson University Foundation through gifts or purchases of real estate and property. It was chartered in 1990 to support the university’s educational and scientific goals. The board of directors is responsible for managing assets prudently through a policy that encourages the enhancement of the resources of the foundation.
