Four Moons is rated South Carolina’s Best Overall Restaurant, Best in Ambiance, and Best for a Special Occasion by OpenTable Diners’ Choice™ list.

ORANGEBURG, SC – April 22, 2009 – Four Moons Restaurant, located in Orangeburg, South Carolina, has been named the Best Overall Restaurant in South Carolina and the Best In Ambiance according to OpenTable Diners’ Choice list. Four Moons was also rated #1 in the Special Occasion category, as well as #4 in the Best Food category and # 8 in the Notable Wine List category.

“We are proud of our rankings on OpenTable, especially considering we have only been in business for less than a year and we are located in Orangeburg, a relatively rural and small city in South Carolina,” said Ryan Groeschel, manager and sommelier of Four Moons. “Our local and out-of-town patrons frequently compare Four Moons to experiences you’d find in large metropolitan cities, like New York City or Los Angeles.”

OpenTable, the world’s most popular website for making online restaurant reservations, lists 99 restaurants throughout South Carolina, including larger cities such as, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Greenville. After dining at the restaurant, users are asked to complete a feedback form and those results form the basis of the Diners’ Choice list.

“What’s special about Four Moons is that we make fine dining affordable for families and friends to enjoy not just on special occasions, but on a daily basis,” said Michael Tourville, managing partner of Four Moons. “Four Moons rivals restaurants in major cities across the country. It surprises many that an emerging culture of fine dining and wine can be found right here in Orangeburg at Four Moons and it’s affordable!”

Four Moons offers world-class cuisine and boasts an award winning executive chef and pastry chef. To accompany the cuisine, Groeschel has developed a wine list of more than 500 labels, featuring a variety of vintages from the finest vineyards across the globe. As the recipient of the 2008 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Four Moons is recognized as having one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world and for providing inexpensive wine pricing.
