Four New Starters for Class 4A

For Joshua Chavis’s second season as head boys’ basketball coach, the Laurens Raiders are playing for the first time in Region 2-4A and enter the season with only one returning starter from its final season in Region 1-5A.
The most difficult player to replace is Dee Foster, who averaged 22.7 points a game and made all-region for the 8-18 Raiders. Also lost to graduation are Leonard Williams, Nigel Owens and Dravious Copeland.
The only starter back is Joshua Cureton, though Chavis expects improvement from J.Q. Fair and Chase Jackson.
