The 4th Annual Contractors for Hope fundraiser will take place Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Steel Hand Brewing in Cayce to benefit Harvest Hope Food Bank. The event will run from 5 – 9 p.m. and will feature a rare solo acoustic performance by Kevn Kinney from Drivin’ n Cryin’, a silent auction full of great packages, food and beverages.
“This event has been a great way for members of the construction industry in our area to come together towards a common cause – feeding our neighbors,” stated Scott Rankin. “Contractors for Hope started out with a small goal. We wanted to feed our one in ten neighbors that face food insecurity. We’ve grown the event each year and hope to continue to provide for more South Carolina citizens.”
Now entering its fourth year, Contractors for Hope has successfully raised over $82,000 and collected 10,000 pounds of non-perishable items, with the ambitious aim of reaching the $100,000 milestone during this year’s event.

About Harvest Hope Food Bank
Harvest Hope is building a hunger-free tomorrow in 20 counties across South Carolina. Rescuing food from stores that is at risk of being discarded, as well as sourcing food from the community and producers, they distribute it to local food pantries and through multiple feeding programs. These programs provide food for some of SC’s most vulnerable citizens – children, seniors, and rural residents who don’t have access to reliable transportation to grocery stores. Annually, Harvest Hope provides over 22 million meals to neighbors in need across their service area. Learn more at harvesthope.org.
