FPA of South Carolina collaborating with North Carolina chapters to host annual symposium

August 19, 2021

In an effort to bring high-quality educational content to more financial planners, the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of South Carolina announced today they plan to collaborate with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Charlotte and the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of the Triangle to host a two-day, virtual symposium for financial planners across the Carolinas October 21-22, 2021.

The Carolinas FPA Symposium 2021 is the first collaboration for the three chapters and will bring together hundreds of financial planners for education, networking, and idea-sharing. Four well-known experts in the industry will do the Keynote address each morning and afternoon; Ben Carlson, CFA, Riholtz Wealth Management; Dr. Preston D. Cherry, CFP, Concurrent Financial Planning; Jack Singer, PhD, Psychologically Speaking with Jack Singer; and Mitch Anthony, Advisor Insights.

In between keynote sessions, participants can choose from several breakout topics including behavioral finance, public policy updates, retirement income, and more. Planners can expect to earn up to 11 CFP continuing education hours. Some sessions are also approved for SC Insurance continuing education hours. For those planners who need Ethics continuing education credits, a special Ethics session will be offered each afternoon.

“Our FPA Chapter believes that this collaboration is important because it brings together planners from across the Carolinas in a way they have not interacted before,” said David Chudyk, FPA of South Carolina President.

Planners interested in participating in the Symposium can learn more and register at Carolinas FPA Symposium 2021. The cost to attend is $150 for members and $200 for nonmembers. Prices increase by $50 after August 30, 2021.
