Fred Powell Joins Homeowners Mortgage as Senior Vice President

COLUMBIA, SC – May 15, 2012 – Fred Powell is the newest member of the Homeowners Mortgage Enterprises leadership team. Powell will serve as Senior Vice President of Retail Sales for the full-service regional mortgage-banking firm headquartered in Columbia, S.C. He brings three decades of professional experience in the mortgage and banking industries, having held senior leadership roles for the past 20 years.

In previous positions with Sunshine Mortgage, J.P. Morgan Chase and Countrywide Home Loans, Powell presided over significant production volume gains; expanded branch operations and locations; and launched digital banking platforms. A long-time resident of the Atlanta area, Powell is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia. While new to South Carolina, his extensive knowledge of the Southeast region provides Powell with an immediate and intimate understanding of the Homeowners Mortgage service area. As senior vice president, he will oversee and help to expand the Homeowners Mortgage retail presence in 19 states.
