CHARLESTON, SC – April 10, 2008 – South Carolina business leaders including Charleston community and business leaders are invited to register for a working business conference leading the way to building free enterprise opportunity between South Carolina and the Caribbean.

· The Charleston-Caribbean Leadership Summit is being hosted by the Free Enterprise Foundation. This conference is a milestone event and launching pad for working business relationships, resulting in an increase of business between South Carolina and the Caribbean.
· The focus will be on four main economic sectors –medical and public health, financial services, logistics and transportation, internet and telecommunications. Opportunities to discuss other business areas not part of the focus groups will be available.
· Through discussion and dialogue, these working focus groups will come away from the conference having laid the foundations for mutually beneficial collaboration and business opportunities.
· Unique opportunity for business representatives to meet with various Caribbean leaders and representatives in 20 to 30 minute matchmaking sessions during the conference.

COST: (1) person: $75 for 1 day, $125 for 2 days (2) or (3) people registering together: $125 per day,$250 for 2 days *This is the daytime portion only and does not include receptions.
