Free Tax Aide Program at Lourie Center

Get ready for tax season! The Lourie Center and the AARP are offering a Tax Aide service which is free and open to the public. The AARP Tax Aide Program will prepare your tax returns for free beginningFebruary 1. Appointments are required and fill fast. One-hour appointments are available Mondays and Wednesdays, 12 –3pm. The service is from February 1-April 13.
Appointments are available at 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. Your tax return will be prepared by IRS-certified preparers.
Call 250-6652, leave your phone number, and an AARP representative will return your call and assign you an appointment. Bring all pertinent forms and documents related to your 2015 tax returns to have your tax returns prepared and e-filed free of charge. A tax return from the previous year is helpful, but not absolutely necessary.
Volunteer tax preparers are certified each year though an IRS testing and certification system. If you would like to volunteer to be a Tax Aide preparer, call 572-3257.
