Friday Night Frights Brings Halloween Magic and Business Connection to Mauldin Cultural Center

October 5, 2026

One of Mauldin’s most popular autumn traditions is getting a fresh, spooky twist this month as the Mauldin Cultural Center hosts Friday Night Frights on Friday, Oct. 23.

Formerly known as Business & Boo, the rebranded community celebration brings hundreds of families, kids, and neighbors together for a festive evening of community connection, trick-or-treating, and outdoor cinema under the amphitheater lights.

For local business owners, non-profits, and civic organizations, the event offers a unique, high-traffic opportunity to interface face-to-face with area residents. Participating vendors are invited to set up themed booths, dress up, decorate their table displays, and distribute candy, branded goodies, and promotional items directly to costumed trick-or-treaters from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It provides small businesses with an engaging, low-pressure platform to build local brand awareness while giving back to local families.

Once candy buckets and treat bags are full, attendees are encouraged to spread out blankets, pull up lawn chairs, and settle in on the amphitheater lawn for a free outdoor screening of Disney-Pixar’s animated classic Monsters, Inc., starting at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite family-friendly costumes and pack an evening picnic or grab dinner locally in downtown Mauldin before showtime.

Vendor and business booth spaces are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested businesses and community organizations can view vendor guidelines and complete the online registration form through the Mauldin Cultural Center website.
