Friends of the Waccamaw Library announces Summer Book Sale and Silent Auction Fundraiser

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC — The Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL) is excited to announce its upcoming Summer Book Sale and Silent Auction, a premier community fundraiser dedicated to supporting the library’s programs and resources. The event will take place Friday, June 26 from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday, June 27 from 9 am to 12 pm at the Waccamaw Neck Regional Library located at 41 St. Paul’s Place in Pawleys Island.
Attendees can look forward to an extensive selection of adult and children’s books, high-quality puzzles, and a beautifully curated selection of rare items available exclusively through the event’s signature Silent Auction.

This year’s silent auction features exceptional items for collectors, historians, and art lovers alike, including:
The Historical Atlas of the Rice Plantations of Georgetown County and the Santee River – An out-of-print, highly collectible, and comprehensive 800+ page reference book. Published by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, this rare volume serves as the definitive cartographic and historical resource for the South Carolina Lowcountry, featuring highly accurate maps, plantation ownership lineages, and vital historical context on the region’s agricultural history.
Original Disney Animation Production Art – Own a genuine piece of television history with an Original Production Cel and Clean-up Drawing from “The Return of Jafar” episode of Disney’s Aladdin: The Series (1994-95).
