Friends of the Waccamaw Library to host ‘Party Like It’s 1776’ fundraiser in Pawleys Island
August 14, 2026Friends of the Waccamaw Library will host “Party Like It’s 1776,” a community fundraiser benefiting the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library, on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will take place at The Quad, located at 1067 Petigru Drive in Pawleys Island. Guests will enjoy a down-home Southern supper alongside entertaining performances by local personalities and historians Bill Oberst Jr. and Lee Brockington. The evening will also feature appearances by Lowcountry historical authors Jennie Fant, Tom Lee, and Flo Phillips.
“This event offers a wonderful opportunity for community members to celebrate local history and culture while directly supporting the resources and programs provided by the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library,” the organization said.
