July 15, 2026
Friendship Place, Inc is excited to announce that enrollment is officially open for its Fall 2026 Georgetown LEARNS Teens Initiative. This free, 16-week after-school program is specifically designed to help middle school students build self-confidence, discover their potential, and develop foundational life and leadership skills.
The program will run on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, beginning August 5 and running through December 16, closely following the Georgetown County School District (GCSD) calendar.
Program Highlights & Curriculum
The initiative offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the unique developmental needs of middle school students. Participants will explore core areas including:
Leadership & Confidence Building: Helping youth find their voice and build self-advocacy.
Career Readiness & Entrepreneurship: Introducing basic small business and professional networking concepts.
Digital Citizenship: Navigating social media safely and responsibly.
Family Support: In addition to the curriculum, every participating student will receive a weekly take-home meal for their family.
Because the program is designed to offer high-quality, focused mentorship, space is strictly limited to only 15 students. Families are heavily encouraged to apply early to secure a spot. Parents, grandparents, or educators looking to enroll a student should contact Tatum Davis directly via email at [email protected] .
