From Lora Tucker, CEO Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands.

February 28, 2022

“Based on the information we have right now, due to production and shipping challenges of Girl Scout Cookies, Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands will extend the 2022 cookie program through March 20, 2022.   The request to extend the season comes after volunteers and girls expressed the desire to continue in order to reach goals set at the beginning of the season. The extension is optional for Girl Scouts.”

We were notified by bakers the evening of February 24, 2022 about the production of Peanut Butter Sandwich Girl Scout Cookies.  ABC Bakers wrote to Girl Scout councils that they face shortages on Peanut Butter Sandwich Girl Scout Cookies due to delays on inbound peanut butter from suppliers. ABC Bakers is processing current orders of Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies. This specific variety of Girl Scout Cookie will no longer be available for direct ship orders during the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program.  We do not yet know if the upstate and midlands will receive the amount of Peanut Butter Sandwiches requested by girls and volunteers.

“This is a situation that is 100% out of our control and we will continue to monitor the shipping of our cookies daily and provide timely updates to our girls, volunteers and our community,” says GSSC-MM CEO Lora Tucker.

When it comes to turning “no way” into “yes way,” Girl Scouts are the experts! So whatever challenges and adventures come your way this cookie season, there’s no doubt Girl Scouts everywhere, will absolutely crush it.

Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
