February 13, 2023

FUEL – a Greenville, S.C.-based strategic marketing and branding agency – announced that it has selected Greenville Literacy Association as the FUEL for Good Grant recipient for 1H 2023. Since 1965, Greenville Literacy Association (GLA) has served adults in the Greenville, SC community with high-quality instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, GED preparation, and English as a Second Language.

“GLA is so honored to have received this grant and so excited to work with the creative minds at FUEL to rebrand and market its Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale,” said Dr. Lisa Hall, acting executive director of GLA. “The book sale is such a festive community event and so important for supporting our work in adult education. We’re looking forward to having lots of fun promoting it with the help of FUEL.”

FUEL created the FUEL for Good Grant program in 2020 as a tangible way to give back to its community and help local nonprofits. To date, FUEL has donated nearly 750 hours of service with work ranging from video production and logo development to social media campaigns and marketing collateral.

“The FUEL for Good Grant program has enabled us to make a difference in our community in ways that inspire and enrich our agency and our team,” said Mary Church Cornette, CEO and head of creative. “Supporting the important work of GLA and its impact on adults in the Greenville community is gratifying for FUEL, and we are honored for this opportunity.”
