Keep the Midlands Beautiful hosts 2nd annual Gala for a Greener Midlands

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – December 5, 2013 – Keep the Midlands Beautiful will be hosting the 2nd annual Gala for a Greener Midlands on December 5, 2013 at the Holiday Inn and Suites; 110 McSwain Drive,West Columbia, at 6:00 PM. All of the money raised at the event will be used for beautification projects in the midlands.

During the Gala, Keep the Midlands Beautiful will announce the winners of the Midlands Green Awards,nominated by the public. These awards recognize the individuals, groups and business that are stand outs in the following categories; green small business, green large business, green non-profit, green elected official, green neighborhood/community group and green event. Green Law enforcement Officer of the Year and Keep the Midlands Beautifulwill also recognize our volunteer of the year.

Last years event was well received and a lot of fun. We’re excited about making this year’s Gala and award ceremony an event to remember. It is a
wonderful opportunity for us to recognize the ‘green’ community and raise
some much needed funds for beautification projects that benefit our community. said

for the Gala are $75 per person, and there are table sponsorships available.
The event will feature appetizers, an auction, dinner and dancing with music

Established in 1989 to serve Richland and Lexington Counties, the mission of
Keep the Midlands Beautiful is to engage, inspire and educate the Midlands
to invest in our community through litter prevention, recycling and
