December 12, 2019

For exceptional, meritorious service in the Richland County community

The Richland County Bar Association (RCBA) awarded GWB Partner Lindsay Joyner with its Civic Star Award at the Annual Meeting and Holiday Party held Wednesday, December 11, 2019 (Columbia Museum of Art).

Members of the Association nominated eligible attorneys for this community award. From the list of nominees, the Civic Star Award recipient is selected by the Association’s Executive Committee based on exceptional and meritorious service in the Richland County community. Members of the RCBA volunteer many hours of their time and talents. As an example of her service to the Richland County community, Joyner has served in multiple leadership roles for the Junior League of Columbia, Downtown Church, and the Contemporaries of the Columbia Museum of Art. She is also a 2019 Riley Institute Diversity Fellow having completed the South Carolina Diversity Leaders Initiative Midlands Class XII. As an active member of the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division, Joyner also participated in numerous events for Midlands residents, including her favorite event– teaching civics-related lessons to local students in the iCivics program.

Joyner’s legal practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, professional negligence, and trust litigation. Lindsay has presented matters in these practice areas before both state and federal courts.
