Garner’s Natural Life named Vitamin Retailer Magazine’s 2015 National Retailer of the Year

GREENVILLE, SC – Vitamin Retailer Magazine has named Garner’s Natural Life the 2015 Retailer of the Year. Garner’s Natural Life was featured as the cover story in Vitamin Retailer’s August issue.
Vitamin Retailer (VR) is the dietary supplement industry’s leading magazine, serving the needs of health food and natural product retailers throughout the country. VR is published 13-times per year and has been in existence since 1994. VR publishes an annual Industry Sourcebook, while other special issues include VR’s annual Vity Awards, Best New Products, Science of Supplements and Retailer Product Training issues.
The Retailer of the Year award is presented to a store that stands out in a number of areas including successful business practices and growth, store design, eco-friendly practices, strong community ties, community and customer events, staff education, retail innovation and uniqueness and involvement in the natural products industry.
To select the annual Retailer of the Year, the Vitamin Retailer editors send requests for nominations to the natural products industry — retailers, manufacturers, and other related industry members —and receive over 100 responses. The editors narrow down the nominations to roughly 15 retailers and then meet to discuss the candidates and select a top three. At that point, Janet Poveromo, the editor-in-chief of Vitamin Retailer, conducts more research and makes phone calls to talk to the store staff and owners, before making the final decision.
