Garvin Design Group welcomes interior designer Nicole Kuehner

August 18, 2026

Columbia-based architecture, interiors, and planning firm Garvin Design Group recently welcomed Nicole Kuehner back to the firm as a full-time member of the interior design team. She completed a summer internship with Garvin Design Group in 2025 and returns to the studio as a newly minted graduate of Kent State University.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with a minor in Business Management in May 2026. During her time at Kent State, Nicole competed in cross country and track and field and was active in student organizations including Interior Design Student Collaborative and Campus Cru. She is passionate about design in higher education, athletics, and hospitality environments and is excited to continue developing her technical skills as an emerging professional.

“We are so lucky Nicole chose to join our team full-time,” said Scott Garvin, Garvin Design Group President. “We were so impressed with Nicole’s talent and team-oriented work ethic last summer; we knew she would be a great fit long-term. We are so excited to welcome her back to our firm and to Columbia as a full-time resident.”
