The 20th Annual Dick Brooks Honda Meals on Wheels Invitational golf tournament raised $143,000 for Greer Community Ministries (GCM).

“We are thrilled with the results of this year’s golf tournament,” said Stephen Smith, GCM executive director. “We had a great turnout with 52 teams and our sponsors continue to step up and make this our biggest event of the year.”

Winning teams for the morning round were: Burgess Tours, first, Five Star Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, second, and All State Brad Hughes Agency, third place. Afternoon team winners were: Tires Unlimited, first, Voluntary Benefits at Work, second, and Dick Brooks Honda team 1, third.

The Meals on Wheels Golf Tournament provides funds needed to continue serving over 300 homebound or disabled senior adults in the Greater Greer area with a warm, nutritious meal Monday through Friday. The meals are prepared on site in the GCM kitchen and are delivered each weekday by volunteer drivers.
