GCSD announces scheduling updates for partial attendance days, spring graduations

Mark your calendars! Georgetown County School District(opens in new tab) families are encouraged to take note of key dates for the 2026–2027 school year, including half-days, early staff development dismissals, and commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2027.

Half-Days & Early Dismissals   

• Half-Days: December 22, May 27, and May 28.

• Staff Development Early Dismissals: September 16, November 11, March 3, and April 28.
  (Please review official school notifications for specific dismissal times by school level.)

Class of 2027 Commencement Schedule

• Georgetown County Adult Education: Wednesday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m.

• Andrews High School: Tuesday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m.

• Carvers Bay Early College & Career High School: Wednesday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m.

• Georgetown High School: Thursday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m.

• Waccamaw High School: Friday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m.
