GCSD Librarian Jenny Cox receives national “I Love My Librarian” award
April 26, 2026Georgetown County School District is proud to announce that Jenny Cox has been selected as one of ten recipients nationwide of the American Library Association’s prestigious “I Love My Librarian” Award.
This national recognition honors librarians who have demonstrated exceptional service to their communities by fostering a love of reading, supporting student achievement, and creating innovative learning environments. Selected from nominations across the country, recipients of this award represent the very best in the profession.
Cox’s recognition highlights her dedication to students, her commitment to literacy, and her ability to create a welcoming and engaging space where all learners can thrive. Her work reflects the important role school librarians play in supporting academic success and encouraging lifelong learning.
