Gene Haas Foundation contributes $90,000 toward Machine Tool Technology and CNC programs at Midlands Technical College

Midlands Technical College (MTC) received $90,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation to support the college’s Machine Tool Technology associate degree program and the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) training certificate program.

The donation, split equally between MTC’s machine tool and CNC programs, will be used to upgrade equipment, provide student scholarships, and support faculty professional development.

“The Gene Haas Foundation’s generosity gives MTC students access to training and education they need to build careers in machine tool technology and CNC machining,” said Tom Schlictman, Associate VP of Philanthropy at Midlands Technical College. “Their continued support helps students gain hands-on skills that local manufacturers value and strengthens the skilled workforce our region depends on.”

Jeff Sigley, Program Director of CNC at MTC, said, “The Gene Haas Foundation’s continued investment in Midlands Technical College is making a tremendous difference in our ability to prepare students for successful careers in advanced manufacturing.
