Generating the Buzz in Laurens County for Two Years

August 31, 2022

You’ve heard the proverb; necessity is the mother of invention.

On September 1, 2020, the Laurens County Buzz was launched to fill a need in Laurens County.

Today the Buzz turns two and we are just getting started.

“There is more to a news story than the headline,” said Brenda Stewart, publisher. “The Buzz team enjoys sharing the news but also providing the human interest or backstory.”

The Buzz platform provides businesses, organizations, school districts, non-profits, and clubs with a free account to share their news and spotlight community contributions. The website is updated several times a day, so the news is current and available when you want it.

Popularity of the BUZZ eNewsletter continues to grow. If you’re too busy to check the website for current news, we bring the news to your inbox every Tuesday and Thursday so you can stay informed about all things Laurens County. You can sign up for our eNewsletter here.

The Buzz is recognized as a leader for news in Laurens County.  And we are just getting started.  Look for more features to be added in year three.

“We take great pride in sharing the news of Laurens County and those things that impact the community,” said Stewart.
