Georgetown Art & Wine Walk returns to historic Front Street next weekend

Historic Front Street will transform into an interactive cultural gallery next weekend as the fourth annual Georgetown Art & Wine Walk, hosted by the Georgetown Business Association, returns Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13.
The two-day festival brings a lineup of juried fine art, live musical performances, interactive living art displays, and a ticketed wine tasting event to the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Beginning Saturday at 10 a.m., visitors can explore the open-air Creators Market across Maritime Park and Francis Marion Park, featuring works by regional artisans ranging from 2D and 3D pottery to sculpture, photography, and digital art. Most pieces on display will be available for purchase through Sunday afternoon.

Entertainment across the weekend includes continuous live acoustic music on the Maritime Park stage, street theater highlights from the Georgetown Community Theater Arts(opens in new tab) group, and “Tidal Tales(opens in new tab)“—a community storytelling showcase detailing the region’s history at the corner of Front and Screven streets.
A highlight for wine enthusiasts, the ticketed Guided Wine Walk takes place Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participants aged 21 and older can stroll along historic Front Street while sampling fine wines from international vineyards. Tickets are $45 and include a souvenir wine glass, wine tastings, and an Art Host location map. Check-in begins Saturday afternoon at Indigo Mercantile, located at 724 Front St.
Family-friendly activities run throughout both days, including a Kids’ Photo Walk at Constitution Park on Saturday morning and hands-on projects at the Kids’ Art Studio in Francis Marion Park and Parasol Park on Sunday. Creative attendees can also register for “Chalk The Walk,” an open-air street art competition held along the historic paths of Maritime Park.

Sunday’s schedule features the fast-paced Quick Draw Plein Air Competition, where registered artists complete live paintings on-site starting at 7:30 a.m. Festival festivities will culminate Sunday with a closing reception and awards ceremony at The George Hotel from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., where winners and the People’s Choice Award recipient will be crowned.
Festival hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event support local community initiatives, with The Village Group designated as the official charitable partner.
