Georgetown celebrates 5th Annual “Flags On Front” this Flag Day

May 26, 2026

The Georgetown Business Association (GBA) is proud to announce the return of Flags on Front, celebrating Georgetown’s Fifth Annual Flag Day Celebration on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

In honor of the upcoming celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, American flags will fly proudly outside of businesses and restaurants up and down Front Street and neighboring streets. To ensure full participation across the historic district, the GBA is providing a flag, pole, and bracket to every participating local business.

Community members and visitors are invited to join in on a full lineup of patriotic, family-friendly events throughout the day:

  • 12:00 PM – Color Guard March & National Anthem: A three-man color guard from the Trail Life group at First Baptist Church will march up Front Street and along the Harborwalk, starting from The George Hotel and concluding at the Kaminski House Museum. At the midway point near Francis Marion Park, the march will pause for a community gathering to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem.

  • 1:00 PM – Live Concert by “Ukes by the Sea”: The celebration continues at the west end of Front Street by Rainey Park with a special one-hour performance. “Ukes by the Sea,” a talented 25-person ukulele band traveling from Myrtle Beach, will perform a lively selection of patriotic and classic American music. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for the concert.

Come out to support local businesses, enjoy live music, and honor Flag Day in historic downtown Georgetown!
