Georgetown County Parks & Recreation announces the ‘Patriot 250 Challenge 2026’
June 23, 2026A Fun, Free, and Flexible Outdoor Adventure Trails Challenge for All Ages and Abilities
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC — Georgetown County Parks & Recreation, in partnership with G.O.A.T. (Georgetown Outdoor Adventure Trails), is thrilled to officially announce the launch of the Patriot 250 Challenge 2026. Starting July 4, 2026, and running through November 7, 2026, this free community initiative invites residents and visitors of all ages to explore the scenic Rocky Point Community Forest and complete mileage goals at their own pace.
Designed to encourage physical activity, community engagement, and appreciation for local natural resources, the Patriot 250 Challenge allows participants to complete their miles their way. Whether you prefer to walk, run, hike, swim, paddle, or bike, every mile counts toward your target.
Challenge Details & Recognition Levels
Participants can sign up as individuals or form teams. There is even a dedicated division to complete the challenge alongside your dog! As you log your miles between July 4 and November 7, you can strive to reach one of four distinct milestone tiers:

Patriot Level: 250 Miles

Blue Level: 150 Miles

Red Level: 100 Miles

White Level: 50 Miles
All participants who achieve their chosen milestone level will receive special recognition and challenge awards celebrating their accomplishment.

Hit the Trails: Start accumulating miles anytime on or after July 4, 2026, focusing on the beautiful outdoor spaces across Georgetown County, including the Rocky Point Community Forest.

Track & Celebrate: Log your miles throughout the summer and fall, finish strong by November 7, and celebrate your healthy accomplishments!
