Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office announces open hiring event for multiple positions

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) has announced an upcoming Open Hiring Event scheduled for Thursday, June 25, at 9:00 am. The event will take place at the agency’s headquarters located at 430 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC, offering an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking a rewarding career in public safety.

The agency is actively recruiting to fill critical, full-time vacancies across multiple departments. Available opportunities include roles for Patrol Deputies, which require a minimum age of 21, as well as positions for Corrections Officers and 9-1-1 Telecommunicators, both open to applicants aged 18 and older. This open event is designed to give candidates a fast track into the recruitment process, allowing attendees to learn about the agency’s mission, speak directly with recruitment officers, and get an immediate jumpstart on the formal application and initial testing procedures.
