Georgetown County to hold Hurricane Season Business & Industry Prep Day

Georgetown County businesses and industry partners are invited to attend a Hurricane Season Business & Industry Prep Day on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a free networking lunch.
The event will be held at the Georgetown County Emergency Operations Center, located at 2222 Highmarket St., Georgetown, SC 29440. 
This event is designed to help local businesses and industries strengthen their hurricane preparedness plans, understand available emergency management resources, and connect with local, regional, and state partners before severe weather impacts our community.
Speakers will include representatives from the National Weather Service Wilmington Office, SC Commerce, Black River United Way / Winyah Bay COAD, Georgetown County Department of Economic Development, and Georgetown County Emergency Services.
Businesses are encouraged to RSVP by 5:00 pm on June 19, 2026.
