Get personalized reading recommendations through new online service

August 26, 2020

As summer begins to wind down, don’t let your reading list sizzle out. Richland Library now offers an online personalized recommendation service, which can help.

To get started, visit us online at richlandlibrary.com and fill out a brief questionnaire. First, select an age group and let us know if you want recommendations for children, teens or adults.

Next, answer a list of populated questions, such as:

  • What are some of your favorite books/authors and why?
  • What genres do you enjoy?
  • What is your preferred reading format?

Lastly, indicate if you want to receive your recommendations by email or phone or if you want staff to place the items directly on hold at one of our four pick-up windows.

Within a week, get ready to enjoy a list of three to 10 titles, which our staff handpicks just for you. Let us know how we did in a follow-up survey and be sure to come back for more suggestions.

This online personalized recommendation service aims to build relationships with our customers and highlight the expertise our staff.

For questions, please contact Emily Stoll at 803-587-3637 or email [email protected].
