Get Ready for Summer on Lake Rabon

Warm weather brings thoughts of spending more time outside and on the lake.

If you’re planning to be on Lake Rabon now is the time to get your boat permit.

Permits can be acquired by stopping by the Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission office at 3850 Hwy 221S in Laurens to get your permit or fill out the application on line and it will be mailed to you.

Annual Permit $30.00
Temporary 2-Day Permit $10.00 (issued at the park only)

Lake Rabon Boating and Fishing Rules:

  • Lake open daily: Sunrise to Sunset (Gate Times Are Posted)
  • All boats, canoes, and kayaks must have a Lake Rabon boat permit.
  • Permits sold on calendar year basis only.
  • No motors larger than 15 HP (except pontoons 30 HP max).
  • Maximum boat length 25 feet long.
  • Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages on Lake Rabon property is prohibited.
  • Keep 100 feet from Dam and all Structures.

All South Carolina Department of Natural Resources boating and fishing laws apply. Violation of Lake Rabon Boating and Fishing Rules could result in immediately revoking your boat permit. See Ordinance Governing the use of “Lake Rabon” for complete rules.
