March 9, 2016

Angelo Sinopoli, MD, vice president of clinical integration and chief medical officer for Greenville Health System (GHS), has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of 100 Hospital and Health System CMOs to Know. The 100 executives on this list were chosen based on their clinical leadership and contributions to establishing standards of excellence at their respective organizations.

“I am honored to be named to this list and serve alongside other physician leaders who are committed to improving patient quality and safety,” said Dr. Sinopoli. “GHS, like others across the nation, is working to support innovative advances in quality care to foster healthy patients and communities while accomplishing the Triple Aim.”

Dr. Sinopoli has been with GHS more than 30 years. In his current role, he leads the development and implementation of healthcare delivery initiatives focused on increasing access, improving outcomes and reducing costs through quality, efficiency, care coordination and physician alignment. Under his leadership, GHS and other health systems developed a regional clinical integration network called MyHealth First Network. As president of the network, Dr. Sinopoli oversees nearly 2,000 healthcare providers across 11 counties focused on improving and standardizing care. He also serves as president of the Care Coordination Institute, a critical partner in the implementation of population health management services that support the transformation of health service delivery to improve and maintain the health of communities. In his commitment to the advancement of population health, Dr. Sinopoli also serves on the Guiding Committee for the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network and the Health Care Transformation Task Force, two national networks focused on facilitating transformation of the U.S. healthcare system.
