GHS physician receives distinguished service award

GREENVILLE, SC- Jack W. Bonner III, MD, emeritus professor of clinical neuropsychiatry and behavioral science at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, will receive the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Psychiatrists at their annual meeting in February. The Distinguished Service Award recognizes significant achievements and leadership in the field of psychiatry.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bonner has been a leader in virtually all major psychiatric organizations in the United States, serving as president of The College, the Southern Psychiatric Association, the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry and the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems.
