Giant Yard Sale to Benefit The Humane Society

COLUMBIA, Sc – April 23, 2013 – The Humane Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which strives to end the overpopulation of unwanted animals by offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries and investigates animal cruelty and neglect cases, will benefit from a Giant Yard Sale at Woodhill Storage Centre (6000 Garners Ferry Road), Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The public is invited to shop for treasures and secondhand items at low costs and all proceeds will benefit The Humane Society. Additionally, food trucks will be at the yard sale and cats and dogs will be available for adoption.

The Humane Society is also seeking donations of gently used items to sell at the yard sale. Donations can be dropped at Woodhill Storage from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday through April 30. All donations are tax deductible. Please, no donations of computers, computer peripherals, printers or tube televisions. Experienced yard and rummage sale goers are invited to help price yard sale items and encouraged to volunteer to work at the yard sale. Those interested in organizing or working the yard sale can contact the Humane Society at (803) 783-1267, or email mailto:[email protected].
