Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands announces STEM Expo 2026

Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands (GSSC‑MM) announced STEM Expo 2026, the council’s largest STEM celebration of the year, taking place at The River Center at Saluda Shoals Park on May 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Presented by Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union and sponsored by The Dreams Foundation and Women of Asphalt South Carolina Branch, the event invites girls and their families, no matter their age, to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, and math through immersive, hands‑on experiences.

STEM Expo 2026 will feature rotating, classroom‑style sessions led by community program partners, giving participants the opportunity to build, code, experiment, and investigate through guided, interactive activities. In addition, attendees can explore a dynamic Expo Hall filled with demonstrations, open‑ended challenges, and opportunities to connect one‑on‑one with professionals working in STEM fields.

Featured experiences include designing and creating with computer‑aided design and 3D modeling alongside Inspireher STEM Trust; building and programming LEGO EV3 robots with EdVenture Children’s Museum; exploring coding and space‑themed robotics with SC‑CATER; and participating in a fun, edible STEM activity led by Women of Asphalt South Carolina Branch. The Expo Hall will also feature organizations such as the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, South Carolina State Museum, South Carolina ETV, and more—each offering engaging ways to spark curiosity and inspire future STEM leaders.

STEM Expo 2026 is designed as a full‑day experience, and families are encouraged to spend additional time exploring Saluda Shoals Park, making it a complete day of learning and adventure.

Registration is $5 for Girl Scouts and $8 for non–Girl Scouts and their family members. This event is designed for shared participation, and adults must attend with their children.
