Announcing 3nd Annual “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament: Thursday, June 20th 2013

West Columbia, SC- Glenforest School, a K-12, non-profit school for children who learn differently, presents the third annual “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Golden Hills Golf & Country Club on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 from 8am – 2.30pm.

All  “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament proceeds directly benefit local families in need of financial assistance in our community. Funds raised provide camp scholarship opportunities to local students of all ages; helping more Midlands kids go to camp this summer.

We are very grateful to all of the players and sponsors of this year’s event who are all helping us accomplish our goals and helping us ensure all families in our community are afforded the chance to provide their kids a fun summer camp experience they can enjoy and remember for years to come.” said Chris Winkler, Head of Glenforest School.

“Clubs 4 Camps” is an action-packed, daylong event, offering players and providers far more than a round of golf alone. Thanks to each of this year’s tournament hole sponsors there is a whole line-up of surprises, goodies, fun activities, and refreshments throughout the course. A Hole-in-one prize vehicle is also up for grabs, courtesy of WRAY Automotive.

Legendary former Gamecock running back – George W. Rogers is making a personal event appearance, with his Heisman Trophy in-tow. Up until the tournament’s Rogers is offering photo-ops to fellow golfers before joining his team to participate as a tournament player himself.

Additional event highlights and features include: “Golf Bingo”, 1st and 2nd place award trophies, door prizes, free range golf ball giveaways, raffle prize drawings, Mulligans “Team First Aid” kits, and snacks and beverages available for purchase. A Players Luncheon and Award Presentation concludes festivities for the day, featuring prize giving, recognitions, and silent auction. Lunch is provided courtesy of GROW at Glenforest School, Post-secondary program (students 18 – 26 yrs; visit grow.glenforest.org).

Individual entry for “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament, June 20th at Golden Hills Golf & Country Club costs $85.00 (individual) or $320 for team entry (4-player team.) Prices include course and club entry with associated fees, tournament play, breakfast and lunch, tournament commemorative shirt, and much more.
