Global Location Strategies Names Longshore, Turner Consultants

GREENVILLE, SC – March 26, 2014 – Global Location Strategies (GLS), the rapidly-growing South Carolina-based site selection and economic development firm, has promoted Monty Turner and John Longshore to Consultants on its rapidly expanding team.  Both are based out of GLS headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina.

Mr. Turner joined GLS in 2010 as a Business Analyst providing research, analysis and support services to GLS’ portfolio of international site selection and incentive negotiation clients.  In his new role as Consultant, he will focus on site selection project management, client relations and strategic analysis.

Prior to joining GLS, Mr. Turner worked in marketing and sales with Dunlop Sports Group Americas’ North American headquarters developing databases, conducting research and supporting day-to-day logistics and operations.  A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Furman University, and an International Baccalaureate Certificate from the American International School of Johannesburg in South Africa. 

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Longshore joined Global Location Strategies in 2012 as a Business Analyst after working in engineering, training, and product development for Bosch Inc. and Time Warner Cable.  His responsibilities will include research, analysis, project management and client support services for GLS’ portfolio of site selection and incentive negotiation clients. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning with emphasis on economic and real estate development, both from Clemson University.  He has been involved with the Urban Land Institute, the American Planners Association and the U.S. Green Building Council, and is an active member of City Church of Simpsonville.
