GMK’s Brian L. McDaniel achieves PE designation

COLUMBIA, SC – GMK is proud to announce that Brian L. McDaniel has recently passed the examination to successfully become a registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of South Carolina through the South Carolina State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors.

As a mechanical engineer for GMK, Mr. McDaniel develops designs for the installation of a wide range of mechanical systems for both new and renovated facilities. He possesses over 4 years of experience in mechanical and process engineering with an emphasis on HVAC system design as well as new product development, process improvement, quality and safety assurance, and lean manufacturing. His recent project work has included mechanical designs for the Riverbanks Zoo and University of South Carolina among other public and private clients.

Prior to joining GMK, Mr. McDaniel served as a mechanical engineer responsible for the design of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects primarily within the education, healthcare, office, and warehouse markets. Mr. McDaniel holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
