Godspeed Resources Connection welcomes new staff members

January 9, 2017

COLUMBIA, SC – Godspeed Resources Connection is pleased to announce the addition of Scott and Lisa Hicks to fill critical roles within their staff.

Dr. Scott Hicks, LCSW, D. Min., joins GRC as Consultant & Trainer. Scott comes to GRC with 20 years of experience of living and serving in Senegal and Thailand. There, his passion to serve global workers was filled primarily through counseling and teaching, although he took on other responsibilities as well. He also made countless trips to other countries to encourage, counsel and teach global workers. In this role Scott will develop relationships with key organizations and churches as he grows GRC’s Partnership Department. Using his education and experience, Scott will consult agencies and churches in caring for their precious people. This consultation comes in the form of coming alongside agency and church leaders to discuss “Best Practices” as well as new, innovative ideas for their member care programs. Additionally, he will assist in guiding leaders with individual issues or questions.

Lisa Hicks joins GRC as Housing & Resources Coordinator. Together with her husband Scott, Lisa has lived overseas for 20 years and has first-hand knowledge of the needs of global workers. During that time, she filled many roles from facilitating group studies, running a retreat home from its inception, serving at a Christian school, and starting a full-service salon to pamper global workers. In her role as Housing & Resource Coordinator, Lisa will continue to foster relationships with local churches and professionals to provide housing and services referrals to Global Workers in Columbia, SC, on home assignment or relocating to the community.
