Golden Strip Career Center to host open house showcasing new welding lab at Brashier campus

Area students, parents, and community members interested in high-demand technical trades are invited to tour the latest upgrades at the Golden Strip Career Center’s Brashier Campus during an upcoming open house.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 27, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the campus located at 1830 W. Georgia Road in Simpsonville.
Exploring career pathways and expanded facilities
The evening offers prospective students and families a firsthand look at the career center’s vocational programs, designed to equip high schoolers across Greenville County with real-world skills and industry certifications.
Highlights of the open house include:

New welding lab: Attendees can tour the newly updated welding facilities, built to provide modern, hands-on training with industry-standard equipment.

Instructor meet-and-greet: Guests will have the opportunity to meet the program’s new welding instructor, ask questions about daily coursework, and learn about curriculum standards.

Career pathways: Staff will be on hand to discuss skill-building opportunities, dual enrollment options, and career pathways in the Upstate’s growing manufacturing and industrial sectors.
