Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood Awarded Design Projects Across the State

March 4, 2010

GREENVILLE, SC – March 4, 2010 – Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood is pleased to announce the firm has been selected to design several projects around the state including a new town hall in Lane, SC; an office expansion for the Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission; and an open air farmers market in Iva, SC.

The new town hall building in Lane, SC will be a 3,600 square-foot building with a brick facade and a metal roof and will include associated parking and landscaping.  The building will house all of the town’s administrative functions and will be a big step in the revitalization of Lane as they start to build on a strong historic foundation.

The Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission office expansion will add another 4,500 square feet of space to the existing building.  Along with the newly designed building, there will be new parking associated with the addition, some upgrades to the existing building to allow for better operations and programmed space layouts, and a redesign to the existing service drive-up lane.

The 2,300 square foot open market design in Iva, SC will function not only as a farmers market, but as a multipurpose platform for many community events. The design will include wood columns, a wood truss system on brick piers and a concrete pad for display area. The design is intended to compliment the most recent town improvements.
