Goodwyn Mills Cawood adding another South Carolina location with Rock Hill expansion
March 10, 2025Architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is further investing in the Carolinas with the addition of its Rock Hill, South Carolina office. The firm is no stranger to the Carolinas with offices in Charlotte, Greenville, Charleston and Columbia.
Located approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte, Rock Hill is one of the largest cities in South Carolina and the only major South Carolina city in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The new office will allow GMC to better serve existing and new clients within this region.
GMC Vice President of Landscape Architecture Tripp Barrineau, a Rock Hill resident, will lead the office, building on his longstanding relationships and his passion for serving the local community.
“We’ve seen a tremendous amount of growth in the Rock Hill and York County market, much of which can be attributed to the quality of life, jobs and recreation opportunities of this region,” Barrineau said. “This new office provides us an opportunity to grow our team so that we can continue to support growth in the community through the services GMC provides.”
The firm is already partnering with the City of Rock Hill on a notable community project, having recently been awarded the master plan for Rock Hill’s Southside Regional Park. The approximately 88-acre public park is currently in the design phase with much anticipation for the site work to begin later this year.
In addition, GMC has several other projects underway within the local area, including working with the Town of Fort Mill on the next phase of the Walter Elisha Park, Banks Community Center and Calhoun Street Park, as well as working with York County officials on improvements to the River Hills Water System.
The GMC Rock Hill office is located at 312 Pendleton Street, Suite C, Rock Hill, S.C. 29730.
