Goodwyn Mills Cawood adds geotechnical laboratory to support Aiken and Augusta

Multidisciplined architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) announces the opening of its new geotechnical engineering laboratory in Aiken, South Carolina. This laboratory is designed to expand the firm’s capabilities in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) market.

GMC offers both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing for large multidisciplinary designs and as a single service. From preliminary design and analysis through testing and observation during construction, the firm’s geotechnical engineers and construction specialists can provide expertise for long-term, cost-effective design solutions.

Tyler Christmas will oversee the laboratory operations and bring years of local experience to GMC’s team. The lab will support a wide range of testing services in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing, including special inspection services and soils, concrete, and masonry testing capabilities. It will further reinforce GMC’s commitment to delivering comprehensive, data-driven solutions from the ground up. The launch of this lab aligns with GMC’s broader mission of building communities through providing fully integrated architecture and engineering services across the entire project.
