Governor McMaster announced an end to SC’s state of emergency “it is no longer necessary to have a state of emergency.”
The announcement was made in a press conference on Monday, June 7th. South Carolina has been under a State of Emergency since March of 2020.
McMaster also said “We should not be forcing anyone to take the vaccine if they don’t want to.”
This announcement means any government restrictions or directives related to COVID-19 which were still in place will no longer be in effect. The Governor had already ended most of the requirements in recent months.
