Graham announces highlights of South Carolina projects in the second FY 2024 spending package

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) announced that multiple projects across South Carolina will receive funding as a part of the second Fiscal Year 2024 spending package.
Graham made these funding requests to the Senate Appropriations Committee, of which he is a member.
Some of the South Carolina projects that will receive funding from the second package are highlighted below:
- Aiken Technical College: $1 million to expand the nursing program.
- AnMed Health (Anderson): $11.2 million for the emergency department.
- Cherokee County: $2.55 million for the emergency operations center.
- Claflin University: $3.6 million to expand the nursing program.
- Colleton County: $637,195 for an emergency operations center.
- Coker University: $2 million to expand healthcare education.
- Dillon County: $2 million for an emergency operations center.
- Francis Marion University: $1.2 million for technology and equipment.
- Greenville Technical College: $2.98 million for welding equipment.
- Lander University: $2.4 million for nursing facilities and equipment.
- Midlands Technical College: $6 million for workforce development.
- MUSC Health (Orangeburg): $4.3 million to improve cancer treatment.
- Newberry College: $506,000 for a nursing simulator.
- Prisma Health (Greenville): $10.7 million to increase hospital capacity for cardiovascular procedures.
- Roper St. Francis Hospital (North Charleston): $8 million to improve access to healthcare.
- South Carolina Emergency Management Division: $7 million for the State Emergency Operations Center.
- University of South Carolina: $3.01 million to expand the nursing program.
- University of South Carolina Lancaster: $2.8 million to expand the healthcare workforce.
- University of South Carolina Upstate: $1.3 million for nursing equipment.
