Greater Chapin Chamber Accepting Nominations for Annual Awards

CHAPIN, SC – October 3, 2012 – The Greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 21st Annual Awards Gala & Auction, which will be held on Friday, November 2 at 7 pm at the River Center at Saluda Shoals. The Chamber annually recognizes the Business Person of the Year, Non-Profit Organization of the Year and the Annie Epting Volunteer of the Year, which is named in honor of the Chamber’s first chief executive.
Criteria for the nominations include a cover page with the full name, title, business or organization name, address and telephone number along with a brief biography of the nominee, a concise statement of the qualities and performance that merit the award, and any supplemental support documentation deemed significant by the nominator, including news clips, letters of recommendation and other evidence of appropriateness for the nomination.
Last year’s honorees were Tom and Kim Nguyen, owners of Ivy’s Nails in Chapin, as the Business Persons of the Year; American Legion Post 193 as the Non-Profit Organization of the Year; and Ron Saxton as the Chamber’s Annie Epting Volunteer of the Year.
