Greater Irmo Chamber honors local leaders at Annual Gala and Awards Night

On Friday, February 28, 2024, the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce honored outstanding Chamber partners at the 2025 Irmo Chamber Awards Night and Gala, presented by Steve Padgett’s Honda of Lake Murray, hosted by the Doubletree by Hilton. Honorees included the 2025 Ambassador of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, Order of the Okra, Coffee Talker of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Launch Award, Hospitality Partner of the Year and Small, Mid-Sized and Large Businesses of the Year.

It was my honor to shine a spotlight on the accomplishments of these incredible businesses. 2025 will mark my 10 th year with the Irmo Chamber and I am so proud to lead this organization!” says Kerry Powers, Greater Irmo Chamber President and CEO.
This year, the Greater Irmo Chamber is privileged to present the prestigious Ambassador of the Year award to David Kafitz with Exit Realty New Horizons. Mr. Kafitz served as the 2024 Chair of the Irmo Chamber Board and his leadership set the Irmo Chamber up for success with the development of a strategic 5-year plan.
The Ambassador of the Year award is given to an individual who has contributed to the growth of the Irmo community and the Greater Irmo Chamber through action and/or service. Past Ambassador of the Year winners include Congressman Joe Wilson, former Rep. Chip Huggins, Cynthia Giles with Cut Throat Marketing and Tom Ledbetter recently retired from Midlands Technical College.
