Green Valley Country Club Announces New Fitness Facility Team

GREENVILLE, SC – July 2, 2012 – Green Valley Country Club, established in 1958, announces the addition of Julie Goldberg as water fitness instructor and Lisa Pridemore as yoga instructor. Goldberg and Pridemore joined Green Valley in coordination with the club’s opening ofthe newly constructed fitness center and renovated swimming pool in early June 2012.

“We are excited about these additions to the Green Valley Country Club team, as we continually strive to provide a premier level of service to our members and guests,” said Michael Kaplan,owner of Green Valley Country Club. “Both Julie and Lisa bring a new dynamic to the club in the areas of fitness and health. We recently opened a new fitness center and swimming pool, so our members and guests can experience state of the art fitness equipment and facilities while enjoying the new aquatic and yoga classes.”

Goldberg’s background includes more than 10 years of experience in the fitness and health industry. She comes to Green Valley Country Club from Salt Lake City, Utah, where she served as fitness instructor and coordinator for the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation. As water fitness instructor at Green Valley, Goldberg oversees all aquatic and fitness classes including water aerobics, aqua yoga and aqua cycling, as well as kickboxing. Her instruction emphasizes water cross training to increase core strength, endurance and balance. Goldberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State and a Master of Education degree from Queens College. She is an experienced fitness specialist holding certifications with AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association),
ACE (American Council on Exercise) and AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America).

Goldberg also serves as a fitness instructor at Furman University and the SportsClub. Pridemore, owner of Complete Fitness, has partnered with Green Valley Country Club to serve as yoga instructor. She has more than 14 years of experience as a fitness professional and is certified with ACE (American Council on Exercise), NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association) and the Academy of Holistic Healing. As yoga instructor at Green Valley, Pridemore’s responsibilities
include working with individuals of all fitness levels and conducting yoga and strength training classes, while striving to improve the condition level of all participants. Pridemore began her fitness career after experiencing firsthand the negative effects poor nutrition and inactivity can have on the body. As an aerobics instructor for seniors, she was able to see that wellness improvements could be made at any age through strength training and nutrition. In addition to yoga, Pridemore currently offers sport specific training for advanced tennis players and cyclists.

With the addition of Goldberg and Pridemore, Green Valley Country Club also announced th opening of the newly constructed fitness center and renovated swimming pool in June 2012. The state of the art fitness center totals 3,000 square feet and includes a complete aerobics classroom,as well as an equipment room with top of the line treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and free weights. The fitness center hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
