GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Chamber’s Nika White has been honored by the Small Business Administration (SBA) with the Minority Enterprise Advocate Award, as well as by the Modern Day Queens with their first annual Woman of the Year Award.

The SBA’s Minority Enterprise Advocate Award honors an outstanding individual who has significantly advanced minority entrepreneurship and business development in South Carolina. Nominees are evaluated based on the scope and results of their efforts, which can include – but are not limited to –support for policies to increase diversity, development of new programs or resources, and provision of training or mentorship.

“Nika White’s impressive work on behalf of minority-owned businesses makes her an invaluable asset to the people and economy of her community, as well as an invaluable asset to our state,” said Elliott Cooper, district director of the SBA South Carolina District Office. “We are proud to honor her.”

White was presented with the Woman of the Year Award 2015 Women’s Celebration Gala on March 31 by Modern Day Queens, Inc. (MDQ), a non- profit organization geared towards women empowerment, and SAVVY, a multicultural women’s organization on the campus of University of South Carolina.
