Greenville Chamber partners with Furman University’s Career Advancement Program

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Chamber has partnered with Furman University to identify mentors for its Career Advancement Program (FUCAP). FUCAP exists to help students strengthen their professional skills through interaction with business professionals in the community via mentorships, interactive opportunities and seminars. The Chamber’s Education Committee launched a similar pilot program with Greenville Technical College in 2014 to help bridge the gap between business and education. Robyn Miller coordinated both programs and be contacted at [email protected] for information.

According to  mentor Roy Jones with The Palmetto Bank, “A positive aspect of the FUCAP program is getting to know the next generation of professionals and being in a position to offer them advice and feedback regarding my professional experiences. It is also rewarding to get insight into how tomorrow’s leaders view the world and plan to apply their skills in their chosen profession.”

Per mentee Hugh G. Martin, Chairman/CEO of CommunityCode, Inc., “FUCAP provided me with professional insight and guidance which will undoubtedly help me in my future endeavors.”
